Supplement Depot, designed by Yen-Tang Lee and Hung Chen, is a stunning example of interior design that seamlessly blends business and resort aesthetics. Situated at HSR Wurih Depot in Taichung City, Taiwan, this 480 square meter space offers complete services containing warehousing, R&D office, and retailing. The design concept draws inspiration from the logistics industry, with steel frames and container-style kitchens artistically expressing the spirit of cargo loadings.

What sets Supplement Depot apart is its use of environmental-protection materials in the large and tall space, elegantly advocating the Nordic and LOFT styles. The composite cabinets, in wood colors, manifest the idea of pallets ubiquitous seen in efficiency-effectiveness logistic industry. The decoration styles of seats are diverse and distinguishing, with sofas in container appearances adorned with pallet-style tables. Additionally, high tables and chairs are conveniently placed for group meetings.

The design team faced several challenges in realizing their vision. However, the layout filled with contemporary-style metals and sustainable construction materials incisively portrays the vision of logistics. The public-style group seating conceptually resembles the shipping process, while chairs ornamented by iron barrels and cushions add an enticing touch.

Supplement Depot was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2018 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness.
